AMC introduced the Jeep YJ, known as the Wrangler, in 1987. It was a redesign of the CJ to include comfortable features and a new dashboard. It was also lower and wider, and had other style changes such as square headlights, side-opening tailgates and turn signal lights. Safety features such as a larger wheelbase and extended sports bar were added in the 1990s. Also added were soft-tops, engine choices, air-conditioning and other options, and the model became more common for on-road use. The last one was produced in 1995. This model was Not so popular among people which might be the reason to stop its production.
